ITS GSM Alarm is "EASY to use" for a wide range of alarm applications; from any kind of
industrial systems, like air compressors e.g., to home security.
No expert knowledge is required, just a few simple steps to configure and install the modem.
Complete delivery includes all required accessories like antenna, RS232 cable and
configurations software. All you need in addition is SIM card, power supply and alarm output/contact.
Functionality:
In case of alarm conditions SMS alarm texts are sent to personal mobile phones of
maintenance, operation or supervisors to notify about the problem. In addition SMS texts can be
sent to a central data processing station (SCADA) to:
store historical data
create day/month repots
make historical data available to browsers on the company intranet/internet
transfer historical data to any data base or management information system (ODBC)
How does the modem work:
Load the easy-to-use configuration software to any Windows PC or notebook and connect the
modem with the RS232 cable (software and cable are part of the delivery). Now you can select
easy or pulse mode and store up to 40 phone numbers and SMS text messages in the modem.
EASY MODE
Power Loss: Up to two phone numbers + SMS alarm messages to be sent
after power loss*
Power Restored: Up to two phone numbers + SMS alarm messages to be sent
after power restored
Input 1: Up to 18 phone numbers + SMS alarm messages to be sent
if input 1 is activated (high)
Input 2: Up to 18 phone numbers + SMS alarm messages to be sent
if input 2 is activated (high)
Power for power loss messages is supplies by super capacitors, so the unit is
maintenance free (no battery replacements).
EASY MODE is very easy to apply wherever at least an alarm relay or indicator lamp is available.
Installation is very simple
PULSE MODE
Power Loss: Up to two phone numbers + SMS alarm messages to be sent
after power loss*
Power Restored: Up to two phone numbers + SMS alarm messages to be sent
after power restored
Input 1: Enable. If input 1 is "high", then input 2 is counting pulses
Input 2: One out of 36 phone numbers + SMS alarm messages will be selected
by pulse number counted and sent after Input 1 is back to "low".
PULSE MODE can be applied in connection with any micro PLC or micro controller, but does need
additional programming in the PLC or controller to generate pulse patterns for alarm selection.
