PROFIBUS/MPI Compact Repeater The new PROFIBUS
compact repeater from Systeme Helmholz GmbH is just as big as a Profibus plug
and wired just the same way. The repeater enables transmission rates of
9.6 Kbps to 12 Mbps. The transmission signals are regenerated by the repeater
and retransmitted. Applications: Extending
the max. node number from 32 to 127 Extending
max. distance from 1.2 km to 6 km Increasing
the Baudrate =>
Example A: 300 m cable length, no repeater => max. Baudrate: 0.5
Mb/s =>
Example B: 300 m cable length, 2 repeaters => max.
Baudrate: 12 Mb/s
